Reddit pane is blank

asterix3112 9 years ago 0
I'm not sure what the reddit pane is supposed to do, but currently it is blank when I switch to it.
(I had several reddit tabs open at the time for what it's worth)

Page location not remembered when opening Chrome

Mage 11 years ago updated by Joel Thornton 11 years ago 3

I'm very happy to have found this. Overall it works very well.

I'm using version 2013.5.8.0 on an iMac with system OS X 10.8.3 (12D78). And I'm using chrome version 27.0.1453.93.

When I close chrome and reopen the entire webpage is completely off the screen. I have to try to find a tiny little piece that is showing and drag the whole thing back into the center of the screen.

Is there any way to get this to remember where I closed it from on the screen so it reopens in the same position?

Thanks.

Remembering window positions accurately between sessions is on the todo list.

Re-ordering tabs to end - landing zone is very small

dsl101 12 years ago updated by Joel Thornton 11 years ago 2

Moving a tab to the 'end' (e.g. the bottom of the list) is tricky - there seems to be a very small landing zone where you have to drop the tab, even though the tooltip says 'moving 1 row' when you drop in the big open space below the last tab. Probably that drop zone should extend to the bottom of the sidewise window?

Cheers,

David.

It should now be possible to drop dragged rows either above or below the tree's rows and have it work as expected.

Note that this still does not allow you to drop anywhere below the tree rows -- the "below the tree" drop zone is a few hundred pixels tall. In the next release I plan to extend this to any of the whitespace below the tree rows -- so I am marking this as STARTED for now and will change it to COMPLETED once I make this further change.

Make unpinning harder

Joseph Bernard 12 years ago updated by Joel Thornton 12 years ago 0

I find that I keep unpinning tabs because I will click on the pin instead of the logo.  It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to go back to the tiny tab in Chrome to repin it.  Can you make it harder to unpin?

Now implemented in 2012.10.18.1 release. The pin icon is just an icon now and is not clickable; the right click context menu can be used to "Unpin tab".

Bookmaks Manager is a pain to use

zepe 9 years ago 0
I just installed Chrome, but find it very disconcerting. I was trying to sort and organize my bookmarks and the selected tab keeps jumping to the top, NOT good. Can you fix this so those tabs stay where we want them?

Chrome seems to want to make decisions for me and I like to make my own. In just typing this short not the program has redirected me four time. This is not good.

Sidewise Incompatible with New Tabs Always Last

Tiger-Heli 10 years ago 0
I posted a Private Suggestion on this http://sidewise.userecho.com/topic/340607-/#, but Sidewise repeatedly crashes when I have the New Tabs Always Last - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/new-tabs-always-last/nldmhfnlbkkdhboedalogjpeedjbmjgi - extension enabled.

Unfortunately, I like this extension, so unless this can be fixed or another method or extension can provide the same functionality, I will likely disable sidewise (which is a shame ...)

Hopefully, someone knows a workaround.

context menu should be also reachable via right-click and release, not only right-click-hold-drag

Heinz Schmiedhofer 11 years ago updated by Joel Thornton 11 years ago 0

doesn't work on mac trackpads, when you have set a single two-finger tab for right clicking.

Extra windows in list

dsl101 12 years ago updated by Joel Thornton 12 years ago 8

Could be a bug, or maybe I just don't understand Chrome yet :)

I now have 4 yellow 'Window' rows in the sidebar - one with 5 pages (including this one I'm posting from), and 3 which say '0 pages'. If I close any of them, the whole app closes. Are they supposed to be there? Hopefully there's a screencap below:

This should be working much better now with 2012.10.18.1 release. Sidewise in general should do a much better job of getting rid of "zero child" window rows. Please let me know if you are still seeing this happen!

GROUP TABS (essential features) - SORRY IF THIS IS A DUPLICATE POST

tim 9 years ago 0
TO MAKE THIS PROGRAM GREAT; I should be able to right click in the white space of Sidewise and get an option to add a new group and name it......once I have a named a new group folder I should be able to drag tabs into it from the main tab bar chrome window and from the Tab entires on the Sidewise list that are not in a group, or in another group as well,....Tabs will effectively be subsets of a group folder. AND, it is an essential feature....That once you click on a group folder, ONLY the tabs from that folder should appear on the main tab bar in the Chrome Main window
