Page location not remembered when opening Chrome
I'm very happy to have found this. Overall it works very well.
I'm using version 2013.5.8.0 on an iMac with system OS X 10.8.3 (12D78). And I'm using chrome version 27.0.1453.93.
When I close chrome and reopen the entire webpage is completely off the screen. I have to try to find a tiny little piece that is showing and drag the whole thing back into the center of the screen.
Is there any way to get this to remember where I closed it from on the screen so it reopens in the same position?
Thanks.
Answer
Hmmm, just figured out if I select undocked from the tools menu, it opens and closes just fine and remembers its location.
The only problem with that is that I'm constantly hiding and bringing back two pages: Chrome and Sidewise - double the work.
Is there any way to keep the two connected so that I can hide and bring them back both of the same time?
Well, try enabling "Keep sidebar visible next to dock window". Even in 'undocked', this should cause Chrome and Sidewise to raise together when you focus either.
This will not cause Chrome and Sidewise to minimize together however.
Remembering window positions accurately between sessions is on the todo list.
Just tried keep sidebar visible – it works when I restore/unhide chrome from the dock. When I hide chrome it does not hide the sidewise bar I have to hide both. But at least they both pop back up when I click on chrome. That's a good start.
Thank you.
