Tabs are automatically moving around

Swanty 8 jaar geleden 0

Tabs seem to be automatically moving around randomly. How to disable this?

automatically open when opening chrome

narlee 8 jaar geleden 0

i have sidewise & chrome open. If I open another application, then switch back to chrome, I have to also click open sidewise (even tho it is "open" in the task bar). I would like sidewise to pop up if I simply click (pop up) chrome. if that makes sense...

willow512 8 jaar geleden 0

Complete with folder structure..

Closing a bookmark page doesn't remove the page from sidewise.

Is Sidewise abandonware? Yes. Why not open source then? I recommend BSD license.

Love this extension

Nath Y 8 jaar geleden 0

I just wanted to say that I love this extension, it's changed the way I manage my googling/research/exploration in a way that bookmarks just can't satisfy.

I can't go back, and I may have become too reliant on it. I would totally pay for it once it's out of beta, especially with automated backup / cloud sync, and maybe some other integration with word processors or note taking apps, would be ideal for references and citations.

(I've had to make sure I keep the amount of tabs under 1600 though, otherwise it won't save new windows or export to the clipboard).

Anyway great work, love it.

Nate

What are Hibernated tabs?

Mr B 8 jaar geleden bijgewerkt 8 jaar geleden 1

Hi

What is tab hibernation exactly?

The home screen's screenshot just says to use it if the tab is taking up too many system resources, but nothing else.

The tooltip says "When enabled, each time you restart Chrome, Sidewise will show any tabs you previously had open under a hibernated 'Last Session' row at the top of the Pages tree. From there you can selectively wake any or all of your previously open tabs."

But I don't see any Last Session row, just a 'Windows' tree. Or above that, Pages and Recently Closed buttons.

(In fact is there any documentation on how to use this app fully? There doesn't appear to be an overview of all the features or how to use them, and I'm a FF Tree Style Tab user!)

Tab comments from bookmarks

Alpha 8 jaar geleden 0

I'm guessing this is no longer supported judging by the age of comments. On the off chance it is - it would be great to have a feature to auto add the bookmark used to open a tab as a comment. It would be more useful to see my description of the page rather than the web developers.

Other than that - what a great plug-in.

Folder not saved when created with "Put in new folder" context menu item from a blank area.

HHest 9 jaar geleden bijgewerkt 9 jaar geleden 1

Hello. The blank area just below the last row (where it sometimes says "Double-click to create a new tab") has a context menu with the item "Put in new folder". If one were to create a new folder using this menu item, the folder and its content would disappear when Chrome is closed. This is not the case when one create the folder by right-clicking on a non-empty row.

Perhaps the "Put in new folder" menu item should not show up in the blank area. That would avoid this confusion. Thanks.

Bug - Hi. Loving Sidewise but think I found a bug

Andrew 9 jaar geleden 0

After creating a new folder, tabs will no longer wake and the plugin no longer remembers any further changes. How to replicate: 1.Wake any tab (to test) 2. Create new folder 3. Try to wake different tab (won't wake) 4. Close plugin and reopen 5. Any changes from the point of creating the folder are not recalled
