Keep Sidewise on Top? Or in the sidebar of every window?

John Medway 12 ár síðan 0

I do not want it docked to only one window, so there's no way to keep it on top.  I'd love it to stay one window if it was always on top, or for it to appear in a Chrome sidebar so it's always visible, analogous to how it's done with Tree-Style Tabs in Firefox.

Open new tab as a child of current tab.

onguarde 12 ár síðan updated by Cortez McNary 4 ár síðan 12

This is possible in tree-style tabs.

Its very useful especially when searching google for something related to the content of the current page. So when you close the new google search tab, you immediately return back to the previous related tab.

However, it's also true that sometimes, you want to start a completely new search. Thus, in firefox, I have 2 keyboard shortcuts. One for opening a child tab. Another for opening a tab at the start/end of the tab bar.

This allows very efficient management of the tab tree without much "moving around".

Is there a way to integrate the sidewise window into the main-chrome window like in tree-style-tabs?

Auto-adjusting the sidewise window next to the main-window does not correctly work for me on a multi-display-setup.

Bring sidewise to front when Chrome is activated

Maurizio Colucci 9 ár síðan 0

Hi there, I found the option to bring sidewise to front when Chrome is activated by clicking the Windows taskbar. That's great. But if Chrome is activated via ALT-tab, sidewise is not brought to front. Is this a bug or a missing feature? Thanks

set label window hidden when Sidewise too narrow

Nikita Nadezhdin 11 ár síðan 0
When Sidewise window is smaller than the "set label" form, the form's sides are clipped off.

Could it be a new popup, temporary increasing sidebar width, or self-adjusting to current sidebar width, like a flexible webpage?

Thanks!

Email checker/custom website

I absolutely love this extension, but it would be cool to add a custom website panel adder or maybe just a gmail checker, I would love it even more

Black flickering in sidewise when a tab is loading the page.

Martin J F. Reiter 11 ár síðan 0

Hi Joel,

I'm having a strange behaviour when a tab is reloading or loading initialy.

The whole background of the sidewise window starts flickering.

It started maybe two weeks ago.

I tried to make a screenshot of it.

It is very distracting because of the whole area keeps constantly flickering if you are searching for something and are opening a bunch of maybe-hits in multiple tasks.

Best Regards,

Martin

I keep accidentally closing the Sidewise window. How can I keep it open?!

Ed Love 11 ár síðan 0
It's a real nuisance! I want it to work like Firefox, so the Sidewise window always remains open. How can I pin it up to stay open? It also keeps getting focus when I don't want it, so I end up messing around there instead of on my Chrome window :(

Thanks for your help!

optional thumbnail-summary of all tab contents for one window / thumbnail preview while hovering over entry

Heinz Schmiedhofer 11 ár síðan updated by Joel Thornton 11 ár síðan 0

might be costly in terms of performance, but i think this would make it easier to quickly find specific tabs.

Not the highest on the priority list, but this is also something I would like to see in the future.

Chrome does have a facility for capturing "webpage thumbnails" of each tab, though the user must first view the tab in question before this can be performed. As such I'm not sure if having only "some" thumbnails show up would inhibit this from being a really valuable/reliable feature.
