Muscle memory from Tree Styled Tabs on Firefox
Another thing I really like from the FF add-on (although I'm determined to move to Chrome now) is being able to double click in the blank area below the vertical tab list to open a new tab. Any chance this could make it into the next version? Finding Chrome's New Tab button is a pain... Or maybe I'm missing an easier way (by mouse)?
Answer
Definitely planned, though it might not be the next version as I'm trying to freeze things for the next release which has been a while coming. Very probably would make it into the release after that if it doesn't appear in this next one.

OK, I just decided to knock this one out. This will appear in the next release which will be coming out sometime between now and the end of the month.
In addition to double-clicking on the empty space creating a new tab, you'll also be able to control (to a limited degree) which page is loaded into the new tab from the Sidewise options. Currently have implemented "New Tab page", "your homepage", "google.com", and "blank tab" options for this.

There is also a "Create new tab" button that appears at the right end of window rows in the page tree coming with the next release, which obeys this same setting.
