I have the same problem as o.p. Scott Olsen. Clicking the maximize button does not resolve this problem (unless you close the Sidewise window first). When the Sidewise is open at the left or right and the Windows taskbar is docked on the side, either the Chrome window or the Sidewise sidebar (whichever you have on the same side as the taskbar) will slide under the taskbar and needs to be manually moved.
